My story, my home

My name is Martina, I am 28 years old, and I was born and raised in a small town in Liguria, amidst the scent of the sea and the simple things in life.
  Until I was twenty, I lived there, where every place held a memory and every scent told a part of my story. Then, with the desire to find stability, I moved to Sanremo in search of a more secure job.

Even back then, I had started creating my first handmade candles (cleo candles), a small dream that was taking shape. But when I secured a permanent contract, my life took another direction: I set that passion aside, convinced there was no time to make space for it.

Over time, however, something inside me began to weigh heavy. I would wake up every morning with the feeling that I didn’t truly belong in that place, that I was living a life that didn’t reflect who I was. I worked hard, but without any real satisfaction, neither financial nor personal. I realized I was pouring all my energy into building something that wasn’t mine, while the desire to create grew within me.

So, at the beginning of 2025, I decided to change paths once again. I left that job to dedicate myself entirely to Profumi di Casa, my project, my rebirth. It was a courageous choice that led me to have to move one more time, to change cities and homes, but this time, with the awareness of wanting to build something that truly belongs to me. Today, I make my handmade candles in Viggiù, in the province of Varese, and if you are in the area, you can come see them by appointment.
